Which Pricing Plan is Best For Your Blog?
Personally, I recommend choosing the “Prime 36 Month Price” if you want to lock in the lowest possible price for your hosting. And it secures your blog hosting at their lowest rate (and gets you domain privacy) for the next 3 years. If you were to choose the 1-year plan, your pricing may go up after that first year.
List of other Good Hosting Platforms.
There are various WordPress blog hosting services like SiteGround, WP Engine, blue host, etc. All these hosting services have different ways of installing WordPress. Using BlueHost however, installs word-press automatically.

When you are done writing and editing the content of your blog, you can publish your blog to public by clicking “Publish” in the top right window. There are some other options such as “Categories and Tags”.
Categories and Tags:
Categories represent a general bunch of your posts. Think of it as a broad grouping of your posts just like a table of contents. You can also create categories within categories commonly called sub-categories.
Tags are the keywords of your blog that emphasize the context of your blog. They are not very broad. They allow you to specifically categorize your WordPress blog. The major difference between categories and tags is that every word-press blog must fall under some category but every WordPress blog doesn’t need to contain tags. Tags, however, help in searching the blog through keywords.
For example, if I am writing a blog about fishing articles then the category will be product and marketing and the tags will be the keywords of my blog such as rods, fishing, cheap, etc.
Customization using plugins:
Once a blog has been written, it comes down to customizing and adding more content such as sliders, contact forms, image galleries, etc. This can be done through the use of plugins.
There are over 50 thousand plugins present in the WordPress directory. Just like themes you can select any additional feature to add to your WordPress blog and get going.
Creating Contact Forms:
A blog needs a contact form so that the audience can interact with the blogger. Blogging for beginners may not require an immediate contact form as the audience is not too vast initially but at some stage, it will surely be required. To create a contact form, we have to install the plugin by Plugins » Add New page and typing plugin name in the search box. For example, if we consider WPforms which is most widely used then you need to click “Install” and then “Activate”.
Upon activation, you need to head over to WPForms » Add New page to create your first form. This will open the WPforms interface.
The interface will require you to enter the name of your form. You can name it “Contact Us” form of my blog. Then you need to select the template for the form. When creating a contact form for your blog, you should select the simple contact form. It will provide you with all the necessary fields and you can fill them according to your blog. How to Make Money Blogging:
Blogging for beginners can be a tricky task but once you have established your blog and have a certain audience, you can look towards earning money blogging. You can earn money blogging by monetizing your WordPress blog. WordPress blog can be monetized in the following ways:
➢ Google AdSense for search (Custom Search Engine):
If you have a WordPress blog that contains a lot of information and you have created a search form for your blog where people search for content then you can earn money blogging by using CSE instead of your normal search engine because you can earn money blogging using CSE. To create CSE and monetize it, go to https://cse.google.com/cse/create/new after this, fill the form according to your blog.
After you have created your custom search engine, you need to copy the code and paste it on your blog. You can also use a plugin to make it easy for yourself. It is shown how to do it in the figures below.
Now select the search engine that you want to monetize from the “Edit search engine”
Now you can go to “Make Money” tab and turn on the search engine monetization.
You should use the same Google account for search engines and Adsense to enable monetization. Also, you can add different search engines to different pages of your blog.
➢ Sponsored Posts:
This is one of the most beneficial types of advertisements. All you have to do is that you have to write articles about products or services that are in your arc and you can write about them. In return, the company will pay you. Companies may approach you if you have a famous WordPress blog but if you are a beginner in blogging then you will have to reach out to companies so that they can hire you for their ads by showing them samples of your work. Some companies may ask you to post a certain amount of articles monthly and pay you accordingly.
Advantages: You can set your policy and rates.
Disadvantages: It is difficult for beginners in blogging to find companies that would give them sponsored posts. Also, if they have the same products as your company then there might be a conflict.
➢ Affiliate Links:
Affiliate links may sound a little complex but it is a relatively easy strategy. It is the promotion of someone else’s products on your blog. Beginners in blogging may find it hard to get such a contract but famous ones can do it. You can choose the products you want to promote by affiliate marketing. You place the affiliate links to the products on your blog. If people will buy those products then you would earn money. It is easy to do and people even make separate blogs for Amazon affiliate marketing. Many companies offer affiliate programs. The common ones are Amazon and Click-bank. It is not necessary to create a separate blog for affiliate marketing. You can always find products related to your area of expertise.
- Affiliate programs have relatively tougher terms and conditions so it is better to read them out carefully to avoid any unwanted result.
- Always mention that you are using affiliate links on your blog. You should make a separate disclaimer page for this. It is required by law in some countries.
- Use affiliate links only where you think it is alright to use them. You don’t want to lose customers due to a bad user experience.
Advantage of Affiliate Marketing: It is better than PPC if a consumer buys products.
It is a great source of passive income.
Disadvantage of Affiliate Marketing: If the user does not buy the product from your affiliate link but buys the product from some other affiliate link after seeing the product on your affiliated link then the other person will get the commission and not you.
Sell Your Own Products:
Yes, you can turn your blog into an e-commerce type of blog and earn money blogging by selling your products. You can advertise your products and do whatever you think is suitable to sell the products.
Advantage: You can set your rates and describe your rates freely. You can sell the products without the fear of getting banned unlike in PPC and Affiliate Marketing.
Disadvantage: It will not be easy to do if your blog is not established. It is not a passive income.
These were all the ways by which beginners in blogging can excel and monetize their blogs to earn money blogging using WordPress blog. It must be noted that the majority of the monetization strategies will work if you have sufficient experience and an established blog.
A blog can be used for multiple purposes. You can earn money blogging, promote your products, interact with people, etc. Blogging has become quite popular over the last 2 decades. WordPress is one of the best platforms for blogging as it is free to use and user friendly.
